Bomb threat reported to a cruise ship in port of San Juan

Local Media outlets in Puerto Rico report of a bomb threat this morning to a cruise ship that was docked in Port of San Juan. The incident was reported when the Police Department received an anonymous 911 call around 10:52 am saying that "he was fed up with the government and that a cruise ship was going to explode."

The bomb threat was referred to the corresponding agencies, initiating the protocol in these cases with the Explosives Division of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau.

After the threat, the authorities went to the San Juan dock, to inspected the two cruise ships that were stationed there and found no explosive devices onboard

However, the authorities would wait for another cruise ship to arrive at 1 pm to clear the ship.

San Juan Police did not mention the names of the cruise ships searched on the pier, however, today there are two ships docked, Holland America line MS Veendam in Old San Juan and Celebrity Cruises ship Celebrity Summit at the Pan American Dock.
