A Carnival Cruise Line crew member has died in Mexico following a short illness in hospital, CTI Group Bali, his recruiting agency, announced the sad news.
On March 21, I Gede Arimbawa was rushed to a hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit after the cruise ship Carnival Panorama arrived at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I Gede Arimbawa was pronounced dead on March 27. He leaves behind his wife and two children, aged 7 and 5 years. This was Gede's third contract with the company, working as a Galley Attendant.
CTI Group Bali shared the sad news and informed the family and crew community that they are in constant communication with all parties to repatriate the body of the Indonesian crew member.
"We, as his official agency, have communicated with Carnival, the hospital, the Indonesian Embassy in Mexico, and the family of the deceased. Repatriation of the body to Jasri, Karangasem, Bali, is under our management, and we are in constant communication with all parties. We ask for prayers from all parties so that his return will be smooth, and his departure accepted.
For open donations, we will provide a donation box at our office, and with the permission of the deceased's wife, we will include her account number.
