Carnival Cruise Line announced canceling a month-long sailings aboard the Carnival Glory in the spring of 2024, due to dry dock refurbishment of the vessel

In a letter to affected guests, Carnival said “In our ongoing efforts to improve our product, the Carnival Glory is now scheduled for dry dock and we regret to inform you that your reservation has been canceled."

If a voyage is canceled due to a dry dock, passengers will be able to rebook another voyage at a protected cruise rate on a comparable sailing in a similar cabin with a $50 credit per stateroom.

Guests who do not wish to postpone their cruise will automatically receive a full refund of the cost of their cruise ticket and any pre-purchased packages after February 15, 2023. This also applies to Early Saver bookings. Refunds can take up to three weeks to process.

The letter concluded: "We sincerely apologize for this change and thank you for your understanding." We look forward to having you sail with us.”

Carnival Glory's last major renovation was a 2022 wet dock (the ship was not taken out of the water) where the ship underwent cosmetic improvements including renaming the cafe to the JavaBlue Cafe, adding a Carnival Adventures Store and expanding the casino.

The next drydock will be a full drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas and will take place from March 24, 2024 to May 1, 2024.

Currently, the Carnival Glory is sailing from New Orleans until early next year. Following her dry dock next spring, the ship will relocate to Port Canaveral to offer three- and four-night Bahamas cruises.
