Carnival Spirit arrives in Australia

Today Sydney Harbor welcomed the newest and largest cruise ship Carnival Spirit, who will be home-ported year round in Australia. The ship is ready for Australian season after Carnival spend millions of dollars' for "Aussifications" of Spirit, which include the addition of Green Thunder, the steepest and fastest waterslide at sea,Serenity, an ocean view child-free retreat and Aussie backyard barbecue.

Carnival Cruise Lines director  for Australia and New Zealand Jennifer Vandekreeke said: "We've demonstrated our commitment by spending more than $7 million in upgrades which capture the perfect mix of Aussie personality and American style and service which is evident from Green Thunder to the Aussie coffee and even the Aussie backyard BBQ now installed onboard. We're convinced Australians will love the collaboration as much as we'll love having them aboard.”

Carnival Spirit  docked at Circular Quay on Wednesday morning and will set sail for her first Australian cruise on October 20. Carnival Spirit will offer itineraries to the Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Melbourne on 3 to 12-night voyages.
