Celebrity Cruises Acquires Two Cruise Ships for Galapagos

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Celebrity Cruises announced the acquisition of two ships, both owned by Ocean Adventure, which is managed mainly by the Royal Caribbean group.

The two ships, Eclipse and Athala, will join the company's fleet later this spring, and Celebrity cruises ensures that cruises already scheduled in the Ocean Adventure ships will continue unchanged in Galapagos.

With more small vessels in the area, and with regular stops at Darwin Bay, Black Turtle Cove, Puerto Villami Celebrity Cruises offers even more variety to their customers, who have shown interested in cruises close to the equator.

Since 2004 Xpedition was the only ship of the company's fleet in Galapagos, which thanks to their dimensions, can visit ports that large cruise ships can not access.
