Celebrity Cruises Updates Health Protocols For Guests and Crew

Celebrity Cruises has updated its health and safety protocols for sailings from the United States. The cruise line which has 11 ships currently in service and 13.000 crew back onboard, has made a few changes to the guidelines, developed in partnership with the Healthy Sail Panel.

Celebrity Cruises will still require all passengers 12 years of age and older, to be fully vaccinated, in order to sail. Celebrity Cruises requires all crew to be fully vaccinated including a booster shot when eligible. Fully vaccinated means a person has received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines. Here are the latest updated healthy at sea protocols for crew and passengers:

CREW PROTOCOLS

Quarantine

- Vaccinated crew joining ships will go from 7-days to 3-days in quarantine with Celebrity Beyond crew remaining at 7-days quarantine.

Crew Curated Tours

- Re-start crew curated bubble tours in ports of call

Masks

- Crew will keep wearing Kn-95 masks.

Crew Surveillance Testing 7-Nights

- Test crew every 14 days but split and these half crew one week and half the next. Half the crew will be tested every 7-days.

Sailings Longer Than 7-Days

- Keep as is and test on last or second to last day of cruise.

- Start moving to self-administrated crew tests under observation in two weeks.

When joining a ship Celebrity crew is required to complete online virtual training including "Healthy return to service" modules, as well as some other security and service training.

Communications

-Onboard guest letters &talking points have been distributed with the updated protocols.

Masks in Terminal

- Masks still in place during embark, debark and while in terminal.

Masks Onboard

Masks are optional except for in the theatre and casino. Masks are still mandatory on expedition ships sailing in Galapagos.
