Costa Cruises Foundation Opens Selection for Marine Environmental Projects

Costa Cruises Foundation has opened the process of annual selection reserved for non-profit organizations engaged in the development of social projects and the protection of the marine environment.

The application will be opened until February 14, 2016, or upon reaching the maximum limit of 200 proposals, the Italian non-profit organizations that operate in the two areas of interest of the Foundation will be able to participate in the selection by sending their project via the " Career "of the official website Costa Cruises Foundation. Proposals will be reviewed by two advisory committees, composed of experts in the field, while the final selection of projects to be supported will be made by the Board of Directors of the Foundation.

In the social priority for the allocation of funds in 2016 will go to projects aimed at women and young people "NEET" (which does not have a job, they are not studying and are not involved in any kind of vocational training); in the environmental priority will be given to the prevention and reduction of pollution and air pollution , and the introduction of virtuous processes of "circular economy" of the sea. In both areas we will be given particular attention to proposals which can produce benefits beyond the duration of funding of Costa Crociere Foundation.

Costa Cruises Foundation is established in October 2014, whose objective is to improve social and environmental conditions of the communities in Italy, the country where Costa Cruises was born and where it has its headquarters. In pursuing this goal, the Foundation relies on the resources made available by the Company and its partners.
