Cayman Marl Road reports that a 45-year-old Filipino crewmember was found unresponsive aboard the Celebrity Constellation, while the cruise ship was anchored off the George Town, Grand Cayman on 26 January.
Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said that at about 8:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the ship. Emergency services boarded the vessel, and the man was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital and subsequently pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the death are currently ongoing but are not believed to be suspicious, police said.
The Celebrity Constellation embarked on a 12-day journey, a round-trip Caribbean voyage, setting sail from the port of Tampa, Florida, on January 24, Its first port of call was the Grand Cayman Island, where the vessel anchored in George Town Harbour.
