“We had a medical emergency onboard our Carnival cruise ship Magic tonight, March 11th. The US coast guard had to come hover over the sports deck and take a crew member off who had had a heart attack it appears. The coast guard did a fantastic job and coming over the ship and getting a basket down to them.” says the passengers who recorded the following video of the medevac.

Carnival Magic is currently sailing a 6 Night Eastern Caribbean cruise which departed Fort Lauderdale on March 8. The cruise ship departed Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos when the medical evacuation was requested by the ship's officers. No further details of the crew member's medical condition were released at this time. Our thoughts go out to the crew member and we pray for his speedy recovery.
