Submitted by kgnadmin on

Authorities in Mexico are searching for a missing cruise passenger who disappeared in Cozumel. Local media outlets report that the passenger, identified as 30-year-old U.S. citizen Williams Tynisha, disembarked from the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Radiance of the Seas to explore the island but failed to return before the vessel’s departure on February 17.

Eight days after her disappearance, the Harbor Master's Office issued Nautical Notice, alerting the maritime community to her case. The official notification of her disappearance was made by the shipping agency on February 17, but the alert was not publicly disseminated until eight days later.

The notice, signed by Captain of the Ship CG.DEM Víctor Manuel Lozano Jerezano, urges the maritime community to report any information regarding Tynisha’s whereabouts.

Authorities have not disclosed whether Tynisha was traveling alone, with companions, or as part of a guided tour. Additionally, no details have emerged regarding the circumstances of her disappearance or any available photograph to assist in her identification.

This is the second disappearance of a tourist in Cozumel in recent years. In 2024, a cruise ship passenger vanished on the island, leaving his family searching for two months without success. The growing uncertainty surrounding these incidents has raised concerns among both locals and visitors.
