Cruise Ships Itineraries Affected by Hurricane Joaquin

The eye of the powerful category 3 hurricane named Joaquin is ravishing central Bahamas with top sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour the National Hurricane Center reported.

Joaquin, which intensified in the last hours, is located about 125 kilometers south-southeast of San Salvador and his eye is in the archipelago of the Bahamas.

In its bulletin at 15:00 GMT today, the hurricane center said that the hurricane was located at latitude 23.0 north and longitude 73.0 west, moving slowly to the southwest at a speed of 9 mph.

Forecast for Saturday and Sunday is that the hurricane will move north in the direction parallel to the eastern United States, but far from land.

Different computer models project that Joaquín will hit northwest Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina on the coast. All the cruise ship in the path of the hurricane Joaquin are divertin thear course skipping the Bahama ports and mostly spending day at sea.
