Disney has named its entire global family of 200,000 cast members, crew, Imagineers, and employees as the honorary “godparents” of Disney Treasure. This tribute honors everyone who brings Disney’s iconic stories to life, creating unforgettable moments for families around the world – whether on land, at sea, or in the comfort of their homes.
Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, couldn’t be prouder: “At the heart of everything we do are the talented dreamers and creators who inspire joy in millions worldwide. Honoring them as the godparents of the Disney Treasure is our way of saying thank you to the people who continue to bring magic to life with such dedication.”
Disney Cruise Line has always been about honoring special connections, and in 2022, they made history by naming all Make-A-Wish children as godchildren of the Disney Wish. Now, with the Disney Treasure, they’re bringing another layer of heartfelt gratitude to the high seas.
Chairman Josh D’Amaro, head of Disney Experiences, captured it perfectly: “The magic our guests experience is the result of the amazing teamwork and creativity of our cast and crew members worldwide. They set the standard for entertainment and hospitality, and this ship celebrates their dedication to storytelling and innovation!”
The Disney Treasure, true to its adventurous name, promises endless thrills for all ages, blending new Disney Cruise Line experiences with fan-favorite characters and worlds from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney Parks! From a Broadway-style retelling of Moana to immersive dining inspired by Coco and Marvel heroes, along with a Mickey-themed water attraction, signature fireworks, and clubs and lounges that bring Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea to life – it’s a journey like no other!
And this is just the beginning! The Disney Treasure is part of a fleet expansion that will add seven new ships by 2031, taking Disney Cruise Line’s enchanting storytelling to even more families around the globe. Anchors aweigh for a magical adventure!
