TMZ Magazine revealed that the English pop singer, Elton John, is being sued for copyright infringement by a man named Guy Hobbs. He accuses Elton for stealing the lyrics from his song Natasha written by Guy Hobbs in 1982 and recorded by Elton John three years later as Nikita.

Guy says his song was written shortly after experiencing a romantic affair with a Russian waitress on a cruise ship.

Hobbs, an Australian who later lived in England, in 1982 worked as a photographer on a Greek cruise ship. Here he fell in love with a Russian waitress, Natasha.

"She was beautiful. But it was against company rules that employees have relations. I never knew her, "said Hobbs.

After Three months of flirting Hobbs returned to London and wrote the song Natasha. "I had never seen again."

According to the lawsuit, Guy recorded the song and sent a letter to several companies, including Big Pig, who often produced songs by Elton John, but was never contacted by any of them. He believes the song has made $15 million and says he is entitled to a third of that.

Guy was not very convincing when he explained why it took so long to file suit saying that he moved to Africa in 1984.
