Aboard TUI Cruises’ new “Mein Schiff 1” and “Mein Schiff 2” liners, a ship’s casino is successfully operating. That success continued on the third liner “ Mein Schiff 3” which was launched a few weeks ago.
These are the three ships with similar size and equipment, where Gauselmann Group spread its business. However, the latest MERKUR CASINO MARE offers not only the actual casino area with six electronic MERKUR roulette machines and 14 other gaming machine innovations, but also an additional casino lounge with four M-box motion de vices and a blackjack table for classic live games.
“The partnership with TUI Cruises marks another milestone in the over 60-year history of the Gauselmann Group. In Germany, the gaming industry is subject to increasingly restrictive statutory regulations, with the consequence that the focus is shifting more and more towards international activities. CASINO MERKUR MARE is another step in this direction,” Dieter Kuhlmann, Management Board member responsible for Gaming Operations within the Gauselmann Group, explains.
The “Mein Schiff 3” cruise ship was TUI Cruises’ first newly constructed ship and was put into service in 2014. It is 293 meters long and is authorized to accommodate 2506 passengers. Its features include a theatre, a 25-meter outdoor pool and a glass balcony that floats approximately 37 meters over two decks in the shape of a diamond at the stern of the ship.
“Our high-quality ship casinos with their diverse games offerings are extremely popular with the public on the high seas,” said Kathy Schröder, Head of Casino Operations at MERKUR CASINO MARE for the press.
“Our mix of ultra-modern MERKUR innovations, service offerings and events are fully geared towards our guests’ wishes and preferences. The Gauselmann Group is renowned not only for its consistent focus on guests but also for always offering its guests the best games and gaming machines in an upmarket atmosphere. This simple and, at the same time, unique MERKUR key to success is also particularly reflected in our ship casinos,” David Schnabel, Managing Director of Merkur spielbanken, said.
