In spring 2021, Grandeur of the Seas will leave Royal Caribbean fleet and join the sister brand, Pullmantur Cruises.
During her 23 years with Royal Caribbean, Grandeur of the Seas has sailed a variety of European and Caribbean itineraries and most recently found a home in the Northeast, departing from her homeport Baltimore, Maryland.
Royal Caribbean International has confirmed the news in a letter sent to travel agents, which reads:
"As we continue to grow the Royal Caribbean brand and develop new offerings, we will begin retiring our more seasoned ships. We know this news is bittersweet, but we’re excited that she’ll join our sister brand, Pullmantur Cruises in spring 2021. Her story isn’t finished yet!"
Grandeur of the Seas a Vision Class ship, final sailing under the Royal Caribbean banner will take place on March 26th, 2021. After which the ship will transition to Pullmantur. Enchantment of the Seas, will return to Baltimore to replace Grandeur in spring of 2021.
Pullmantur Cruises the largest Spain-based cruise line currently operates four cruise ships Monarch and Sovereign which were transferred from the Royal Caribbean, and Zenith and Horizon – former Celebrity Cruises ships. Earlier this year the Spanish cruise line announced that their cruise ship “Zenith” will leave the fleet in 2020.
