Great news for people who love the sun and tropical destinations, AIDA Cruises is offering an opportunity to run away from the cold, wet weather to paradise on earth. The company starts with four cruise ships in the Caribbean for the winter season 2021/2022. AIDAsol kicks off and starts today, October 16, 2021, from Hamburg on the 40-day “Great Caribbean Winter Break” trip, to come back to the starting point. The amazing thing about this trip is that Caribbean lovers can travel to the sunny islands and back for the first time without a flight - and that from their own front door.
The voyage looks like this: Hamburg via France (Cherbourg), Spain (A Coruna) and the Canaries (Tenerife) to the most beautiful Caribbean islands. AIDAsol spends around 12 days in the Caribbean, visiting Barbados, Castries on St. Lucia, the ABC Islands, and St. Maarten, among others, before heading back to Europe. On the way back, visits to Portugal (Ponta Delgada and Lisbon) and France (Le Havre) are on the program. Special highlight: For the first time onboard AIDAsol, there will be performances by the AIDA Show Ensemble with their own singers and dancers. Guests can also look forward to the popular hands-on shows "Wer wird Millionär" and "Voice of the Ocean".
Coming next on the program are the two 43-day AIDAsol trips from/to Hamburg to the Caribbean with start dates on November 25, 2021 and January 7, 2022. Guests on the first trip spend the New Year's in Lisbon with a unique view of the Portuguese capital.
AIDAluna will follow on October 18, 2021, bringing its guests from Kiel into the Caribbean summer.
AIDAdiva will start on October 26, 2021 from Warnemünde.
And for AIDAperla on November 6, 2021 from the Canary Islands it will be “Cast off!” In the direction of the Caribbean.
All three AIDA ships have various routes, with lots of different ports in the Caribbean world between November 2021 and March 2022: For the guests on board AIDAdiva, the 14-day voyage from La Romana / Dominican Republic to Ocho Rios in Jamaica and to Samaná and Tortola in the Virgin Islands. In Mexico, stays on Cozumel and along the Mexican Riviera in Costa Maya are on the program. Here guests can immerse themselves in the lost cultures of the Maya. Powder-white dream beaches await guests on St. Maarten and St. Kitts and Nevis, the sister islands of the Lesser Antilles. Onboard the AIDAluna from / to La Romana / Dominican Republic, guests experience paradisiacal 14-day trips to beautiful Caribbean destinations such as the ABC and Virgin Islands. The program also includes calls to Antigua, an island surrounded by coral reefs, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Maarten. The journey with AIDAperla from/to La Romana / Dominican Republic or from/to Bridgetown / Barbados leads not only to the ABC islands but also to the Lesser Antilles. Tropical rainforests, port cities with colonial charm and a breathtaking underwater world are among the highlights of this 14-day Caribbean cruise.
All four AIDA ships require complete vaccination protection of the guests willing to travel. The company has developed protocols that have been coordinated with the responsible authorities so that all guests can enjoy a relaxing holiday not only on board but also on land. The far-reaching health concept is implemented on all trips, including a COVID-19 test for all guests before departure and the AHA rules applicable on board. AIDA Cruises offers a comprehensive, organized excursion program in all Caribbean ports - from a “come ashore” excursion at an explorer price to a deluxe package. In addition, guests on the Caribbean tours in winter 2021/2022 will again have the opportunity to go ashore individually in numerous destinations.
