Holland America Line Returns to West Coast Cruising with Ms Koningsdam

Holland America Line marked the return to the US West Coast cruises with the first sailing on the Ms Koningsdam from San Diego on October 10. The first guests were greeted by Captain Steve MacBeath; and Gus Antorcha, President of Holland America Line with Waving flags, cheering crew members and a "Welcome Home" sign as they boarded ms Koningsdam at the Port of San Diego. This is the first West Coast departure for Holland America Line since the start of the cruise industry pause, and the company is planning a big comeback with 3 additional ships sailing from San Diego in the coming months.

Ms Koningsdam is the largest HAL ship to be sailing from the West Coast, in a series of 23 seven-day voyages to the California Coast or Mexico that run through April 3, 2022.

In addition to Koningsdam, Zuiderdam will sail roundtrip voyages from San Diego on longer Mexico explorations, a grand monthlong voyage to Tahiti, and Panama Canal departures. Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam each make one call in spring 2022.
