Philippine Consulate General through outreach missions served by the Consular on Wheels. Registrated 45 Filipino crewmembers onboard Holland America’s Zuiderdam while the ship was in San Francisco earlier this week.

The  registration period for the 2013 national elections will be from November 02, 2011 to October 31, 2012
The 2013 Philippines General Election is a midterm election for the the Philippine Congress and for elected officials of Philippine provinces, Philippine municipalities and it will be held on May 13, 2013. In total, there will be 18,022 national and local positions decided.
 
Philippine Consul General Marciano Paynor Jr. said overseas voting was a way to give "every opportunity to our kababayans to take part in shaping the future of our country.”
 
“Registering for OAV will give them the capability to exercise their right to vote and help chart the political future of the Philippines,” he added.
