MSC Cruises Cancels Arrivals to Turkish Ports

MCS Cruises canceled arrivals in Turkish ports for the following season after assessing the security situation in the country. The decision was made after terrorist attack in Istanbul Sultanahmet Square killing 10 people, mostly tourists. MSC Magnifica will divert its 2016 Itinerary from Istanbul and Izmir to the Greek ports in Athens and Mykonos starting from March 26 2016.

The decision effective "until further notice", was announced today by the MCS Cruises saying that it was motivated by, “growing concerns expressed by cruise passengers following the tragic events in Istanbul."

Other Cruise lines canceled their stops in Turkey after the terrorist attacks including Crystal Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, and Celebrity Cruises canceling their overnights in Istanbul with only one day stay.
