MSC Cruises updates Covid-19 health protocols for US voyages

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Effective August 8, MSC Cruises will have a revised health protocol for sailings departing from US ports. This update is based on changes in the health and safety requirements of the US National Health Service (CDC). MSC Cruises currently has two ships based in the USA: the MSC Seashore in Miami and the MSC Divina in Port Canaveral.

The latest changes require children 2 years and older who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 must have a negative COVID-19 test result within three days of embarkation. Fully vaccinated passengers embarking from US ports for six nights or more must also have a negative COVID-19 test result within three days of embarkation.

Fully vaccinated passengers on cruises five nights or less may present a negative COVID-19 test upon embarkation, but this is not a requirement.

Current MSC Cruises vaccination requirements remain in effect for sailings departing from Miami and Port Canaveral until August 8th. Current rules state that all guests 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

MSC Cruises' industry-leading protocol, launched in August 2020, applies to all destinations on the two ships' itineraries departing from US ports.
