MSC Orchestra Crewmember with Meningitis Dies in Livorno Hospital

The Indonesian MSC Orchestra crewmember who was hospitalized for bacterial meningitis
died tonight. Livorno Hospital officials announced that the 32 years old Ermandiasa I Gede who was the first of the four cases found aboard the MSC Orchestra had died at 7 p.m. USL Livorno hospital report says that he died as a result of septic shock, despite numerous and repeated interventions made to save him.

The Filipino crew member, who was also hospitalized in the department of infectious diseases is recovering and is expected to leave the hospital in the following days.
