MSC Preziosa, the first cruise ship to resume sailings in Brazil arrives in Santos

MSC Preziosa the first cruise ship to resume cruises in Brazil since the global shutdown of the cruise industry caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has arrived today, November 3rd, at the port of Santos. 

MSC Cruises will officially kick-start the 2021-22 Brazil season on November 5, when Preziosa will set sail on a 3-night themed cruise called “Vumbora pro Mar”. The first votayage is chartered by “Organized by PromoAção”, who promises three days and three nights of partying and fun at sea. This cruise will include concerts by renowned singers and bands, including Bell Marques, Harmonia do Samba, Saulo, É o Tchan and more. 

The ship made its Crossaatlantic voyage with only crewmembers on board. MSC Preziosa Brazilian season will last until April 2022, visiting Rio De Janeiro, Cabo Frio, Salvador De Bahia, Ilheus, and other popular cruise destinations.

Two more MSC Cruises ships will arrive in Brazil for the upcoming Brazilian season, MSC Seaside on December 4 and MSC Splendida. According to MSC Cruises the ships will sail with a reduced guest capacity of 75%, fully vaccinated crew, and guests age 12 or older.
