Norwegian Cruise Line canceled all European cruises aboard the Norwegian Epic from December 1, 2023, to April 9, 2024. As a result, the cruise line will be temporarily withdrawing from the European market for the winter season. Initially, the Norwegian Epic was scheduled to embark on a series of voyages exploring the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. However, the ship's itinerary has been altered, and it will now be deployed in a different region during the winter months of 2023/24.
This decision marks the end of Norwegian Cruise Line's European season for 2023, as both the Norwegian Gem and the Norwegian Epic will bid farewell to Europe in December. Unlike the previous winter, when the Norwegian Sun remained in Southern Europe for various cruises, no Norwegian Cruise Line ships will be operating in Europe during the winter of 2023/24. However, travelers can look forward to the arrival of nine Norwegian Cruise Line ships in Europe for the summer season of 2024, starting from April onwards.
Guests who had booked the canceled cruises on the Norwegian Epic can expect a refund, as the cruise line will automatically process the reimbursement back to the original payment method used for the booking. In cases where the cruise was initially booked using a Future Cruise Credit (FCC), guests will not only receive their full Future Cruise Credit back but will also be entitled to a 20% discount on any European cruise until April 30, 2024. Additionally, all guests will receive a 10% discount in the form of a Future Cruise Credit that can be used for a future voyage with Norwegian Cruise Line. It's important to note that these two discounts cannot be combined.
