After a 14-day cruise from Brisbane P&O Cruises' Pacific Encounter arrived in Singapore February 6, for her scheduled drydock.
Leaving Marina Bay Cruise Center, the ship headed to the Sembawang Shipyard in northern Singapore, where it arrived at 4.30 p.m.
During this three-week dry dock, Pacific Encounter will receive a new pair of 142-metre-long Twin Racer slides that extend from a height of 16 meters and the signature P&O Edge Adventure Park with a 55-meter zipline, climbing rock, Cargo Net, Walk the Plank, and Beam Walk.
In addition to these upgrades, the ship will also be refreshed with minor repairs and hotel improvements to other public areas.
Pacific Encounter has already undergone a major transformation in 2022 when various new venues were added to the ship, including Biron Beach Club, Luke's Bar & Grill, F45 Fitness Studio, Black Circus Theater and Altitude Nightclub.
Following the completion of drydocking, Pacific Encounter will return to service on February 25, 2023 and embark on a 14-night Indonesian Explorer voyage from Singapore to Brisbane, Australia. Once in Brisbane, the ship will continue to offer a series of voyages ranging from three to 14 days visiting New Zealand, Australia, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga and more.
On March 11, the ship will embark on a 14-night Kiwi Adventure cruise with calls at Fiordland, National Park, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Napier, Tauranga and Auckland.
