Pacific Sun will Become the First Chinese Cruise Ship

The Chinese group HNA, which was about to buy 20% of NH Hotels in 2011, enters the cruise industry with the purchase of  P & O Australia Pacific Sun, which will be renamed Henna. Currently Henna is undergoing refurbishment in Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore and will set sail in early 2013. She will continue to sail under a Maltese flag.
The new cruise company HNA Tourism Cruises Yacht Management Co. will become the first company in China to own a cruise ship.

Henna will offer various cruise itineraries from Tianjin and Sanya, sailing to ports in Vietnam and South Korea.

The Chinese group HNA, operates in other areas of tourism such as air transport, management of various airlines, rent-a-car, hotel and travel agency, is located in Beijing and is worth more than 10 billion RMB.
