P&O Cruises Brings Back Taste of Barbados for Second Season

P&O Cruises is extending its partnership with award-winning chefs from Barbados for a second season of its popular Taste of Barbados culinary experience aboard Arvia and Britannia.

Running during the Caribbean fly-cruise season from October 2026 through March 2027, the program will once again feature chefs Sophie Michell, Adrian Cumberbatch and Damian Leach, along with Barbadian mixologist Shane McClean.

Guests will be able to experience the flavors of Barbados through live cooking demonstrations, special dining events, locally inspired dishes and Caribbean cocktails. The chefs will also share stories about life on the island and the ingredients and traditions behind Barbadian cuisine.

The Taste of Barbados menu will include dishes such as lobster, fresh catch of the day, aromatic salt cod with roasted breadfruit, ginger sweet potato mash and spiced pineapple chutney. Selected dishes created by the chefs will also be available at the ships' Horizon buffet.

Sophie Michell will additionally host interactive cooking demonstrations exclusively aboard Britannia, highlighting local ingredients and the island's farm-to-table culinary culture.

P&O Cruises President Paul Ludlow said the company decided to bring the program back following the success of its first season and strong guest interest in authentic, destination-focused experiences.

Arvia and Britannia will operate a series of Caribbean itineraries during the winter season, visiting Barbados alongside destinations including Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, Grenada, Aruba and Curaçao.
