The Port of Saint John in New Brunswick has opened a new space dedicated just for crew members. As part of the newly opened AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village development, the Crew Lounge is the perfect place for the crew to relax, unwind and bond with their friends and family back home. Constructed from three recycled 40-foot shipping containers, the lounge is a testament to the community's welcoming spirit.
"We are delighted to be able to offer this special new space to cruise ship crew members." We know they're eager to relax and bond with loved ones when they head to the beach. We think we've created a really pleasant and relaxed environment for them to enjoy," says Natalie Alabi, Cruise Development Manager at Port Saint John.
The lounge, located next to the Marco Polo cruise terminal, is private and exclusively for cruise ship crew. It includes a rooftop terrace with harbor views, two levels of comfortable seating, tables with charging stations, dedicated high-speed free WiFi and air conditioning.
"The investment was an easy decision for the Port as we look to greatly enhance and enhance the passenger experience at Port Saint John," says Allabi. "A happy crew means great service, and great service means happy passengers." This investment made sense for many reasons.”
Cruise lines coming to Port Saint John this September and October include Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, among others.
