The Port of Tarragona expects to receive 70,000 cruise passengers, 10,000 more than initially planned, thanks to the eight new scales of MSC Cruises, according to the Port Authority.
MSC Cruises goes from having one stopover to a total of nine and the first of the cruises, the MSC Bellissima, will dock at seven in the morning this coming Sunday with 4,000 passengers on board, in addition to the disembarkation of 300 passengers and the embarkation of others 400.
The MSC Bellissima will also stop in Tarragona on Sundays July 31, August 21, September 4 and 25, October 9, 16 and 23 and, on Friday November 11, the cruise ship MSC Magnifica will take over.
This has been reported by the president of the APT, Josep Maria Cruset, at the meeting held this Thursday of the Creuers institutional Taula, made up of different institutions and agents from Tarragona.
La Taula has a new member, Global Ports Holding, the cruise terminal concession company (it will be active in the fall of 2023), and a state-of-the-art building in which they will invest 5.5 million euros.
