Princess Cruises Officially Names its Newest Cruise Ship, the Enchanted Princess

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Princess's fifth Royal-class ship was officially named in a special ceremony, which was a part of an original production called "Our World Enchanted" made in order to commemorate the ocasion.

Princess Ambassador Jill Whelan and Enchanted Princess Cruise Director Dan Falconer hosted the show, shared some of the company's history as an industry and destination leader, so they could end it with the official naming tradition and welcome the vessel into the Princess global fleet. The viewers had the opportunity to look into the Enchanted Princess and its innovative features, the new luxury Sky Suites, the bars and restaurants, aquatic relaxations and many other amenities of the ship, able to host 3,600 guests. The maiden voyage began on November 10 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, with a roundtrip 10-day itinerary to Southern Caribbean.

The ceremony honors three members of The Explorers Club who serve as the godmothers of Enchanted Princess. The notable godmothers have been recognized for their achievements in expeditions, oceanography and mapping the oceans – Captain Lynn Danaher, Dr. Vicki Ferrini and Jenifer Austin.

"Our World, Enchanted" includes appearances by newly appointed Princess Cruises President John Padgett, Group President Jan Swartz and Commodore Nick Nash, and provides a look into the beautifully designed interiors, elegantly appointed accommodations, world-class entertainment, gourmet dining and craft cocktails available on Enchanted Princess.
