A passenger on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Allure of the Seas was photographed standing on the opposite side of the balcony railings, dangerously close to the edge of the ship. The photo was posted in a popular Royal Caribbean Facebook group by Peter Blosic, who has witnessed this dangerous behavior and shot the photo yesterday while the ship was at sea. According to his comment, he showed the photo of the woman standing on the opposite side of the balcony railing and alerted the concierge. The incident was then reported to the Staff Captain, who is second in command, and a copy of the photo was presented as evidence. Ship’s officers easily determined the cabin number and the woman was located.
Needless to say that this stupid and reckless behavior could easily end in tragedy, by falling off a ship. It only takes a sudden wind or a wave for a person to lose balance and end up into the sea.
Safety and security of the passengers and crew is considered the number one priority and therefore appropriate actions will be taken against this woman. Cruise lines policy regarding dangerous behavior by passengers on board states that each individual will be escorted off the ship at the next port-of-call, and placed on the blacklist meaning that they will be banned from ever sailing with the cruise line.
