Royal Caribbean cancels Bali over increased terror threat

After Celebrity Solstice canceled arrival to Bali over safety fears, Royal Caribbean has announced Celebrity Millennium and Radiance of the Seas will also cancel the island in their itineraries.

Travel advisory was issued by Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade warning that terrorists may be preparing attacks.

Celebrity Millenium was scheduled to stay overnight in Bali on March 16, and Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas needed to arrive on March 17.

Due to the latest changes Celebrity Millennium will stay one more day in Singapore and another in Darwin and Radiance of the Seas will spend additional day at sea.

Instead Celebrity Millennium will spend an extra day in Singapore and another in Darwin, and Radiance of the Seas will remain at sea for an additional day.

Following the latest changes in itineraries Royal Caribbean Cruises released the following statement:

"Our guests’ vacation time is precious and we did not take these decisions lightly. The safety of our guests and crew is always our foremost concern."

"We will continue to monitor the security situation in Indonesia and will notify guests or their travel agents if there are changes to future sailings that visit Indonesia."
