The audit examined the actions of the different RCCL Interantional brands Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises have passed an audit by RAINN , the largest US organization to combat rape, incest and sexual abuse.
RAINN examined the prevention of sexual assault established specifically for use in the cruise industry. Specifically, RAINN oversaw 11 key areas ranging from physical safety of passengers and crew to the services provided to victims.
The analysis concluded with the granting of Royal Caribbean certification for their good practices in the prevention of sexual assault which is valid for two years.
Royal Caribbean Cruises is first corporation to earn certification for compliance under the new standards. RAINN experts conducted a comprehensive analysis of the ships and performed an intensive review of Royal Caribbean’s policies, procedures, and training..
