Silversea Cruises announced that Silver Nova, the 11th, ship joining the fleet in 2023, will feature new asymmetrical design of the pool and additionally open deck spaces for unhindered sees of the ship’s destination.
“Silver Nova represents the next iteration of Silversea’s unique take on luxury, with an entirely new design approach that will enhance our guests’ cruise experience,” said Roberto Martinoli, president and CEO of Silversea. “With her outward-facing, asymmetrical layout and her all-new outdoor venues, Silver Nova will offer our guests a brand-new way to connect and engage with each destination. Moreover, with her groundbreaking environmental credentials, Silver Nova will strengthen our position at the forefront of sustainable cruise travel.”
The main pool is bigger than those onboard Silversea’s previous ships at 130 square meters, with a modern format, wider entrance steps, and more shallow waters for visitors to sit. A pool bar will be arranged on deck 10, while deck 11 will shape an amphitheatre-shaped structure over it with a modern interminability edge whirlpool named The Cliff Whirlpool overlooking the ship’s port side.
Two new food and drinks venues will also be introduced on deck 10 of the ship. The Marquee will be an al fresco dining venue positioned to the aft of the ship on the port side. The new space will incorporate The Grill and Spaccanapoli, two of Silversea’s existing signature venues that offer a ‘hot rocks’ culinary concept and pizza, respectively. The Marquee will serve casual fare during the day and offer dinner during the night.
The second of the two new food and drinks venues, The Dusk Bar, will be an open-air sky bar for up to 70 guests, with 270-degree panoramic views from the stern of the ship.
Returning signature restaurants La Terrazza, will seat 340 guests and will feature a new color palette. Floor-to-ceiling windows will surround the restaurant’s interior space, offering panoramic views, while its outdoor terrace will be expanded. The 270-guest restaurant Atlantide will feature a new interior design, while signature French restaurant La Dame will be more spacious with capacity for 70 diners and higher ceilings. Sushi restaurant Kaiseki will retain its existing design.
Silver Nova will be the first cruise ship to make use of hybrid technology that utilises fuel cells, which Silversea claims will emit zero emissions while in port. She will host up to 728 guests in 13 different suite categories.
