Singapore Welcomes Vaccinated International Guests on Cruises Under Quarantine-Free Programme

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Singapore Tourism Board will allow international travelers from countries in the Vaccinated Travel Lane to board cruise ships currently homeported in Singapore, reports Singapore Cruise Society. This announcement refers to 21 countries that the Singapore government established the Vaccinated Travel Lanes with. They have an opportunity to cruise with the ships whose homeport currently is Singapore in accordance with the entry requirements of the country. Australia, the United States, and Germany are part of these countries, and the list is about to be extended as time passes by.

So, this is very good news for some of those dreaming of cruisers, and they shouldn’t be waiting much longer to prepare for a long trip. Besides the residents of Singapore, the only ones that were able to go on cruises so far, under one condition (not travel out of Singapore in 14 days before their cruise) now with the VTL scheme, more international visitors are allowed to board the cruises by the Singapore Government.

The people, whose country of residence is one of the VTL designated countries, may enter Singapore without being quarantined, and all the rest need to require additional visas/permissions to enter Singapore.

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas and Dream Cruises’ World Dream are the two ships currently cruising from Singapore, with limited capacity and no stops to any ports.

Travelers must apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) for entrance into SinSingapore Welcomes Vaccinated International Guests on Cruises Under Quarantine-Free Programmegapore, and that could change, so the guides should be followed at all times. Few days arriving in Singapore before the cruise is recommended always, considering any unexpected travel delays.

Singapore is making efforts to open further, but the rising of the cases caused the measures to tighten, as the limited social gatherings to two people and malls to be visited only by vaccinated people. And mandatory wearing of masks, with fines for the violators. Singapore had kept the virus under control until recently with closed borders and quarantining, but let’s follow the development of the new lifting of the bans for welcoming international guests on cruises.
