Soccer Fan Jumps from Cruise Ship after the match between Brazil-Mexico

After the match between Mexico and Brazil , more than 3000 Mexican fans who hired the service of MSC Divina, were celebrating the point that puts them a step forward to the knockout stage of the tournament. Celebrateing this event a young man traveling on this cruise ship fell into the sea between Recife and Fortaleza. 

The passenger who was drunk jumped overboard from deck 15 while the cruise ship was in open sea. Witnesses say that he wanted to impress a Mexican Journalist who was traveling with the group. After falling from almost 50 meters the captain was notified and turned back the ship, however after 2 hours search the passenger was not found and after informing the Brazilian Coast Guard the ship continued the trip. 

The Consulate of Mexico in Rio de Janeiro confirmed that "a Mexican citizen who was aboard MSC Divina cruise ship fell into the sea after the ship sailed from the city of Fortaleza in northern Brazil, heading to port of Recife. "

Msc Cruises specified that the man had willingly thrown "overboard from the 15th floor of the ship."

The victim is Jorge Alberto López Amores who was a student in Mexico City. He left for Brazil on Sunday on a flight to Barranquilla, Colombia.
