Rumors are circulating in the Dutch media that preserved passenger ship SS ROTTERDAM will be sold in Oman, where it will serve as a VIP ship. Since 2008 the ship is located in the port of Rotterdam and is converted into hotel and restaurant.
The owners of SS ROTTERDAM, Woonbron, said that only a very good offer would convince them to sell the ship.
Woonbron Corporation bought the ship for 25,5 million euros and spend over 250 million euros converting the ship into a hotel and restaurant. They spend much more money than originally planed, placing a huge financial burden on the company and forcing the sale of the ship.

SS Rotterdam is well known Dutch ship, who sailed on for Holland America Line since 1959.
