TUI Cruises Crew Member Dies of Heart Attack

Submitted by kgnadmin on

A 37-year-old crew member from Bangladesh has died of a heart attack aboard a TUI Cruises ship while it was docked in Trieste, Italy, according to Italian media reports.

The incident occurred during the night of February 13, with emergency medical services responding after the ship’s onboard medical team initially provided first aid. However, despite their efforts, the crew member, who worked as a cleaner, could not be saved.

While the specific vessel was not mentioned in local reports, ship tracking data indicates that the only TUI Cruises ship in Trieste at the time was the Mein Schiff Relax. The ship, recently delivered to TUI Cruises, has not yet begun passenger sailings and is expected to welcome its first guests in early March.

The tragic loss has deeply affected the crew onboard. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of the crew member during this difficult time.
