Submitted by kgnadmin on

A young cruise ship crew member has been reported missing in the war-torn city of Mariupol. Family and friends are searching for the 26-year-old Anatoly Burma, who went missing on March 2. He is a crew working for the Italian cruise company Costa Cruises as an assistant bartender. Anatoly completed his contract and returned back to Ukraine on February 20, and arrived in Mariupol on February 22, just two days before the invasion of Ukraine started.

His colleague Camila Rocha, has asked for help from the community in the form of tips about his whereabouts.

“Dear Colleagues, he is Anatoly, his city Mariupol was destroyed and he is disappeared, his family has contacted him on March 02, but at this moment there is no contact to him.

Please share this information,” Camila said on her Facebook profile.

If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, please contact @mimacardozo on Instagram or call this phone number: +0930347929.

His colleagues have not heard a word from him in the past three weeks and they are worried.

Anatoly was living with his parents in an apartment building on Troitskaya Street 61. The besieged port city of Mariupol has seen some of the fiercest bombardments since the invasion started. Residents of the neighboring building number 59 on Troitskaya street, report that everyone lost their homes after bomb landed and hit the building.

As the Ukrainian town of Mariupol comes under heavy attack, family and friends are trying to determine whether their loved ones are safe. Shortages of electricity and poor phone connections are making the situation all the more difficult to find how their loved ones in Mariupol are doing.
