Virgin Voyages unveiled today the name of the third cruise ship Resilient Lady which will sail its maiden voyage from Piraeus (Athens) in Greece. Resilient Lady is scheduled for completion on 1 July 2022, offering 7-night itineraries around the Mediterranean and Adriatic Sea. The launch of the third vessel next year will expand Virgin Voyages’ presence in Europe with its second sister ship Valiant Lady sailing out from Barcelona.
“Our collective resilience has been the theme of the last year; growing, prevailing, and looking toward a future that we’ve never been more grateful for — which is why it was important to us that the name we chose for our newest lady ship reflect the strength of our past and the power of our future.” Virgin Voyages team said on its Ahoy! blog post.
“Sailing in the Med is such an extraordinary experience, and we’re so excited to bring the adventure of a Virgin Voyage to this beautiful place,” said Sir Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group. “I’m so proud of the incredible work the team has accomplished to introduce Resilient Lady.”
Two seven-night itineraries will be offered onboard Resilient Lady next summer.
Greek Isles Itinerary: Departing from Piraeus (Athens) and setting sail to Santorini, Rhodes, Crete with overnight stay in Mykonos.
Adriatic and Greek Isles: Sailing out of Piraeus (Athens), to Dubrovnik with late departure along a scenic sailing to Kotor, Montenegro and Corfu and Argostoli in Greece.
“Welcoming Resilient Lady to our fleet and revealing these amazing itineraries sets the tone for the most memorable summer voyage,” said Tom McAlpin, CEO and President of Virgin Voyages. “We know the time to travel is on the horizon, and Virgin Voyages is here so that we can keep dreaming of irresistible vacations ahead.”
