New Scandal and this time like with Costa Concordia master of the ship and attractive blonde from Easter Europe are involved again. Italian magazine OGGY released a photo taken on Costa Atlantica with the master of the vessel, Italian soldier and attractive blonde holding assault rifle AR 70/90. The photo was taken in January 2013 almost one year after Costa Concordia accident, when Costa Atlntica was en route to Gulf of Aden, Africa. Back then Italian special units were in charge of protecting the cruise ship from pirate attacks. The woman who was guest of the Costa Atlantica master took the opportunity to take couple of pictures on the bridge with assault rifle in her hands.

Later the 25 year-old woman from Ukraine, Alexandra Sasha, used the photography to gain financial benefit asking 200.000 Euros from Costa Cruises in order not to publish the photos to the newspapers. The task of preparing the extortion was given to a Romanian accomplice, who claimed to be a journalist, contacted Costa Cruises headquarters for blackmail.

Costa Cruises decides not to consider the proposal and immediately reported the case to the Italian court in Genoa. The company filed disciplinary action against Costa Atlantica master, for violating safety regulations, and temporarily suspended him. As for the soldiers involved in the photographs, they will be also investigated for negligence.

Master of the vessel is in charge of safety and security of all crew and guests onboard and this behavior is highly unacceptable and dangerous.
