29-year-old woman who was guest onboard Carnival Destiny was spotted jumping overboard on Sunday. According to Carnival Cruise Lines the accident happened around 12:10 a.m., when the ship left the Port of Miami. After the woman was spotted crew began search mission lowering lifeboats and she was located live but injured from the fall. Some passengers who were onboard Carnival Destiny Twitted that the woman may have struck a lifeboat on the way down.

After the treatment in the ships infirmary the doctor decided that she needs further medical treatment at a shoreside facility. In order to assist the woman’s needs for medical treatment Carnival Destiny deviated its course to Key West instead of Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
