During its recent United States Public Health inspection Carnival Freedom scored perfect 100 points. The surprise inspection was conducted in Galveston, Texas Carnival Freedom home port. This is seventh Carnival Cruise ship to earn a perfect score this year. 

For a vessel to score perfect 100 points on USPH inspection needs to pass 44 items legislated by U.S.P.H. Vessel Sanitation Program checklist. This announced inspections are held twice a year and can be conducted on any ship sailing to US ports. Vessel Sanitation Program inspects different areas for food handling, food preparation and storage procedures, galley cleanliness, pools and water handing, water supplies used in spas etc.
