The cruise ship Costa Fortuna set sail on its first voyage after more than two years due to the pandemic. On June 11, the ship of the Italian cruise company Costa Cruises again greeted guests in Bremerhaven, Germany.

The first sailing is a two-week voyage to Iceland. The ship will stop at the ports of Sejdisfjordur, Akurejri, Isafjordur, Grundarfjordur and the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik. On the way there and back, Ijmuiden in the Netherlands, Lerwick in the Shetland Islands, Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands and Invergordon in Scotland will also be visited.

Later this summer season, Costa Fortuna will sail to Norway on two different routes. One route leads to the Arctic Circle to the Lofoten Islands, and the other route in the program has Norwegian fjords in southwestern Norway and the capital Oslo. At the end of August, the Italian ship will sail around the British Isles and Ireland. He will visit Aymaiden, Cork, Ireland and Liverpool, Greenock near Glasgow, Invergordon, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Harwich near London before returning to Bremerhaven.

Costa Fortuna will finally say goodbye to Bremerhaven on September 8 and head to the Mediterranean. In the winter of 2022/2023, the ship will sail on various cruises in South America.

The ship, which served Costa Asia before the pandemic, was built by Fincantieri in Genoa until 2003 and can accommodate a maximum of 3,250 guests. In 2018, public areas in a shipyard in Singapore were renovated.
