Azamara Pursuit wrapped up its 2026 Alaska season with a memorable guest-and-crew celebration that perfectly captured the line’s emphasis on shared experiences. The ship received a special 24-hour fishing permit and headed to Point Adolphus (near Icy Strait), where crew members led by Captain Mikael and Hotel Director Ryszard tried their luck from the starboard tender platform while guests cheered from the open decks.
Although the fish were uncooperative, the light-hearted atmosphere continued the next day when guests challenged the crew to an “Alaska Ice Plunge.” The team jumped into the pool to the delight of onlookers.
Azamara described the events as a perfect reflection of the camaraderie and genuine connections that make life onboard special. Pursuit was operating Alaska itineraries that included classic ports such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Haines, Hubbard Glacier, Valdez, and Seward before continuing on longer voyages (including a 114-night journey from Vancouver toward Asia and beyond).
The fun closed the Alaska season on a high note of shared laughter and memorable moments between guests and crew.
