Austin, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/06/2013 -- As Crystal cruises have banned smoking of tobacco cigarettes on the board, people are turning out on e cigarette as an alternative. The luxury operator has announced that it would ban smoking in all the indoor areas of its ships. The only area where the smokers can smoke is Connoisseur Club smoking lounges. The smokers can smoke cigarettes outside but it is allowed in a limited number of designated spaces only.

As more and more cruises banning tobacco cigarette on the ship, it is raising the concern of smokers. The smokers will now have to turn on to a different alternative in order to enjoy their cruise. The best alternative for such ban can be electronic cigarette. There are different brands that provide these types of smokeless cigarettes. 

While talking about this announcement, Gregg Michel the president of Cristal said “We have received considerable feedback (on smoking), and we listened. Our policies have evolved as lifestyles have changed”. To which he further added that “The majority of our guests worldwide are non-smoking, and travelers are used to more non-smoking environments today”.

With the revised policy of the brand will begin with 2014 first sailing and smoking will now be banned in all cabins of the ships Crystal Cove lobby lounges and Pulse and Luxe nightclubs. This announcement from Crystal’s has come exactly one year after its rival luxury line Silversea has prohibited smoking of tobacco cigarettes in cabins.
