Cruise Ship Stranded in Santos due to Generator Problems

Regent Seven Seas cruise ship, Seven Seas Mariner suffered serious problems in the power supply, due to generator malfunction. The luxury cruise ship docked at the Port of Santos on Sunday, and will not sail until the generator is repaired.  

Two technicians from Miami arrived in Santos on Monday to fix the generator in order for the ship to continue to its next destination Rio de Janeiro. By the end of the evening, technicians  were still working on the repairs. 

The cruise started on February 21, when the ship left Buenos Aires, Argentina visiting the ports of Punta del Este and Montevideo, Uruguay, Rio Grande, Porto Belo and Santos. 

On board Seven Seas Mariner are 592 passengers and 451 crew members.
