A big career milestone and plenty of reason to celebrate at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines! Nikola Đurđić has officially been promoted to Staff Captain, stepping into the important role of the Captain’s deputy.

Nikola’s journey with Fred. Olsen started back in July 2018, when he joined Braemar as a Third Officer. He later moved to Borealis, continued climbing the ranks and spent four years serving as Safety Officer.

Now comes the next big step: Staff Captain!

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines congratulated Nikola on the achievement and thanked him for his hard work over the years.

Nikola also shared an emotional message following the promotion, saying the achievement belongs not only to him but also to his family, who supported him through the challenges, long periods away from home and all those years building his career at sea.

He said he is proud of the journey behind him, grateful to everyone who believed in him and ready for the new challenges and miles ahead.

And there will certainly be plenty of those miles!
