A former crew member, who admitted that he locked in a cabin and touching a 13 year old girl who was on vacation with her family on Disney Cruise ship, was sentenced to five years in prison.
Back in 2014 Disney Dream steward Ahmed Sofyan, 36, of Jakarta, Indonesia, lured the girl in an unoccupied cabin and touched her inappropriately against her will. The crew member refused to let the girl go when she tried to leave several times.
The judge told the Ahmad Sofyan, he’ll be deported from USA since he was convicted of a felony sex crime. “Have I made it clear? I do not want him in the United Stated of America one moment past the time that DOC (Department of Corrections) can give him,” said Judge George Maxwell.
After more than a year in jail, the crew member pleaded guilty to the charges against him in open court.
After the hearing the sentence Sofyan apologized to the girl’s family. “I’m very sorry for ruining their vacation for what I have done to them.”
