First Ultra-Luxury Yacht for Four Seasons Yachts Officially Delivered

Fincantieri has officially delivered Four Seasons I, the first ultra-luxury cruise yacht built for Four Seasons Yachts. The ceremony was held at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard in Italy, where executives from both companies gathered to celebrate the completion of the project. Among those in attendance were Fincantieri CEO Pierroberto Folgiero and Four Seasons Yachts CEO Ben Trodd. The handover represents the culmination of years of planning and construction aimed at redefining luxury at sea.

A Private Yacht Experience With Just 95 Suites

Unlike traditional cruise ships that accommodate thousands of passengers, Four Seasons I takes a far more intimate approach. The 34,000-gross-ton vessel stretches 207 meters (approximately 679 feet) in length and features just 95 expansive suites.

Each suite is designed to feel like a private oceanfront residence rather than a standard cruise stateroom. Large outdoor terraces connect guests directly with the sea, reinforcing the yacht’s residential-style concept.

The most exclusive accommodation onboard, the Funnel Suite, offers an impressive 457 square meters (about 4,900 square feet) of combined indoor and outdoor living space. It ranks among the largest and most luxurious accommodations ever created at sea.

Privacy, spacious design, and highly personalized service are central to the experience, reflecting the Four Seasons brand’s longstanding reputation for high-end hospitality.

The World’s First “Intelligent” Ultra-Luxury Cruise Ship

Beyond its upscale accommodations, Four Seasons I also introduces advanced digital capabilities. The vessel debuts Fincantieri’s Navis Sapiens platform, an integrated smart-ship system powered by artificial intelligence and real-time data.

The technology is designed to enhance safety, improve operational efficiency, and allow for future upgrades without affecting the onboard guest experience. The system represents a significant step forward in the development of next-generation cruise ships.

More than 2,000 workers, engineers, and partner companies contributed to the construction of Four Seasons I at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard.

The facility is one of the company’s most advanced production centers, equipped with heavy-lifting systems and modern technologies including automation, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality to improve efficiency and precision during construction.

A New Chapter for Four Seasons at Sea

With the delivery of Four Seasons I, the luxury hotel brand officially enters the cruise market with a distinct offering focused on exclusivity, privacy, and innovation.

Rather than competing directly with mega-ships, Four Seasons Yachts is targeting travelers seeking a more personalized, residential-style experience at sea.

The yacht is expected to begin service soon, promising a refined blend of five-star hotel comfort and the freedom of ocean travel.
