Four Cruise Ships Enter Dry Dock in Cadiz

Four cruisers will enter Navantia shipyards in Cadiz, Spain, for a scheduled maintenance and refurbishment. These repairs will ensure a "significant workload" and generate additional employment in the city of Cadiz. One of the cruise ships currently under maintenance is Mein Schiff 3. Operated by the German Cruise Line Tui Cruises, the ship is currently located in Dock number 4 for installment of a new thrusters, to improve the maneuverability of the vessel. The former Royal Caribbean ship Splendour of the Seas, will enter Navantia dry dock for complete remodeling of the interior and exterior of the ship in April until May. After Exiting dry dock, the ship will be renamed Discovery and will be operated by Thomson Cruises, sailing the Mediterranean from Palma De Mallorca, Spain.

The third cruise ship arriving in Cadiz shipyards is 'The World', operated by Whilhelmsen. 'The World' is cruise ship in the hands of private owners who bought or leased the 165 luxury suites. The ship has 12 decks in which, in addition to the suites, accommodation offers swimming pools, shops or restaurants. Finally, the ship 'World Odyssey' will enter dry dock number one, for major refurbishment improvement works, which would last about a month.
